The folk duo Tam Lyn formed in Dorchester at the beginning of 2008.Their music is a mixture of traditional tunes and songs as well as some original material written by Al.

Al is a young multi talented musician, composer and song writer, who is also classically trained on piano and trombone. When not playing guitar and singing in Tam Lyn he performs in orchestras, choirs and for various shows.

Neill Prosser plays fiddle, guitar and bouzouki. He started his musical career as a guitarist in goth, punk and metal bands gigging mainly round the south of England. Neill turned his hand to folk and the fiddle twenty years ago and played for Dorset band The Dolmen for about ten years. Neill has spent his time since doing sessions and private recordings.

Gigs

Tam Lyn have recently played to enthusiastic audiences at The Ropemakers in Bridport, The Brewers Arms, Martinstown, The New Inn, Littlemoor, near Weymouth, and at The Evolve Music Festival on Weymouth's seafront.
